Mardia Cables is fully committed to providing the highest quality PVC and XLPE insulated heavy-duty low voltage cables. Each cable undergoes an extensive and rigorous quality assessment process, ensuring exceptional standards for all our manufactured products.
We utilize premium Copper/Aluminum CC Rods as our raw material, ensuring top-notch quality. All incoming raw materials undergo rigorous quality checks in accordance with our material standards.
During the Wire Drawing process, we conduct the following essential checks:
Measurement of wire diameter and surface quality.
Conducting tensile strength and wrapping tests on aluminium wires.
Evaluating the elongation of annealed copper wire.
Verifying the conductor resistance.
During the Stranding process, we perform the following checks:
Evaluation of the surface quality of the conductor.
Verifying the number of wires used in the stranding process.
Measurement of wire diameter to ensure consistency.
Assessing the lay ratio of the stranded wires.
Checking the conductor dimensions for accuracy.
During the Extrusion Insulation process, we conduct the following checks:
1. Evaluating the surface quality, thickness, and concentricity of the insulation.
2. Measuring the overall diameter to ensure it meets specifications.
3. Performing spark testing for control and instrumentation cables to ensure insulation integrity.
4. Checking XLPE cores using the Hot Set test to assess their performance under high temperatures.
Verifying the conductor resistance.
Ensuring the wire diameter and surface meet quality standards.
During the laying-up process, the following checks are carried out to ensure quality:
1. Verifying the direction of laying up the cores.
2. Checking the sequence of cores, their lay, and the circularity of the cable.
3. Measuring the diameter of the laid-up cores for consistency.
4. Ensuring uniformity in the wrapping of PVC tapes.
5. Verifying the thickness of the inner sheath and the overall diameter of the cable.
The following checks carried are out for the process:
Surface
Thickness and diameter of inner sheath.
Armouring process, the following checks are conducted to ensure quality:
Verifying the number and dimensions of armour wires used.
Assessing the lay and direction of the armouring wires.
Ensuring uniformity and proper diameter over the armouring process.
Outer Sheath process, we perform the following checks to maintain quality:
Evaluating the thickness and concentricity of the outer sheath, as well as the overall diameter of the cable.
Verifying the accurate embossing of the company's name and voltage grade on the outer sheath.
We conduct the following checks to ensure proper handling and identification:
Ensuring all cables are wound on standard wooden drums for secure storage and transportation.
After conducting HV testing, the drums are packed with wooden battens for added protection during shipment.
Stenciling essential details on the drums, including the manufacturer's name, cable type, drum number, cable length, voltage grade, certifications, and gross weight, to facilitate easy identification and tracking.
